- Portugal’s Polícia Judiciária reported five arrests in Campo Maior after an MB WAY platform-sale scam harmed a victim by about €19,000 in October 2022. The suspects contacted people selling goods online and asked to pay by MB WAY. During the phone interaction, victims were guided into actions that unknowingly gave access to a debit card or bank account. Police said the suspects were linked by family and lived from these scams.
