Woman in her 90s loses 80,000 kronor after furniture-company call leads to fake bank

What happened: Swedish Police reported that a woman in her 90s in Jönköping municipality was defrauded after a caller claimed to be from a furniture company. The call was then transferred to someone presented as a bank contact. During that conversation, she gave information that allowed the fraudsters to take about 80,000 Swedish kronor. Police were called that afternoon and recorded the matter as fraud.
